iFi Audio DAP новина: This DAC Lets You Switch Between ESS & AKM… Instantly!

Резюме: This DAC does something I’ve honestly never seen before… it lets you switch between two completely different DAC chips on the fly.

The Ampapa Q1 includes both an ESS9039 and an AKM AK4493 inside the same device, letting you instantly change between two different DAC architectures and sound signatures. One moment you can listen with the ultra-detailed ESS presentation, and the next you can switch to the smoother, more “musical” AKM sound — all without changing gear.

In this video I take a deep dive into this very unusual DAC / headphone amp to see how well it actually works and whether having two DAC chips in one unit is a gimmick… or something genuinely useful.

Beyond the dual-DAC design, the Q1 also supports extremely high-resolution audio formats including PCM up to 768kHz / 32-bit and DSD512, making it capable of handling virtually any digital audio source you throw at it. 

It also includes Bluetooth 5.2 with aptX-HD, USB input, optical and coaxial digital inputs, plus RCA outputs and a built-in headphone amplifier for desktop listening setups. 

So the real question is…

Does switching between ESS and AKM actually change the sound?
